Committee on Student Conduct

What is the Committee on Student Conduct?
The Committee on Student Conduct is an avenue through which faculty, staff, and students can play a role in fostering a culture of accountability within the greater campus community. Committee members determine whether, based on information presented at a student conduct hearing, it is more likely than not that a charged student violated the Code of Student Conduct.

Committee Recruitment
Each semester, new members are welcome to join the Committee on Student Conduct.

What does the time commitment look like for members of this Committee?

  • Availability to attend one initial training session and other training sessions as needed
  • Participation in approximately 2–4 hearings each semester
  • Availability for hearings during business hours, Mondays-Fridays
  • A commitment of at least two semesters (with the opportunity to continue to serve)
